Christmas Eve

In Norway they celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas eve. We invited grandma and grandpa over for a Norwegian style dinner (salmon this year) and then went to Church before we came home and opened the gifts from mormor (mom's mom).

Elizabeth's view of the tree. She took this picture.

The table set for Christmas Eve Dinner.

Anna and Dad helping Pastor Ogden sett up the Nativity Scene at Church.

The first gift we got to open. Want to play with it now.

Finally it's open.....

Our new laptops. One is in English and one in Norwegian.

Daddy got a new shirt.

Christmas morning.

Santa must have found the spare key outside. Because we don't have a fireplace. But he made it into the house and came with the candy and gifts. After traveling around the word he visited Good Morning America (the TV)
While Elizabeth and Anna was waiting for dad to get up so they can open the gifts they were playing with the toys they opened Christmas eve. (They did not have to wait to long. I think dad wanted his gifts.)

Let the opening begin.

Having fun?
Even the soft packages was fun......

Not sure if Anna is helping dad, or dad is helping Anna.

Elizabeth with her new puzzle.

Who gets finishes first?
No fun - this is a plastic bag and can not be ripped. But we liked the gift inside......

.... buggies for our dolls.

I missed it. But Anna was wearing the stocking as a hat.

Anna (and Elizabeth) both knew that daddy or mommy had to help them get the toy out of the box. She took the box and walked over to dad so he could help.

Some gifts they had to share - but that is OK.

IMSDAL vannflaske (liten flaske for barn)

Takk for hjelpen.

McDonald!

On the way home from Illinois we found a McDonald with a big playground. We had a great time playing and running around. Good thing because we had a long ride to get home, because of snow and snow, snow.
Anna and Elizabeth climbing on Ronald.

Ronald getting his hair done by Elizabeth.

Funny chairs.

Anna woundering if she wants to play at the big plaything.

We liked this one better.
