Opening Gifts from Norway - Christmas Eve.

Norway the main celebration on Christmas is Christmas Eve. When I lived in Norway I would start my celebration by going to the Christmas Eve service. Then the whole family would go to my grandparent’s house to have the traditional Cod dinner. It was not till after the coffee that we got to open our gifts. In our household we would open the gifts from Norwegian friends and family on Christmas Eve and the gifts from America would be opened Christmas morning. I am hoping that we will be able to keep that tradition. So on Christmas Eve the girls got to open gifts from Uncle Mike, Aunt Gunn and Benjamin. But they did not have to wait till after dinner…..

Opening Christmas gifts with Grandpa Larry and Grandma Donna

This year we were going to Somonauk, Illinois (Elin's family) for Christmas. So Grandma Donna invited us all over the night before we were leaving to open Christmas gifts.....

Anna and Elizabeths first Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we celebrated in Michigan. We got packed up (according to me - Elin. Going some were with twin's it's like moving) and went to visit Grandma and Grandpa. The girls got all dressed up in new dresses and got to wear their gold necklaces’ they got from Bestefar (grandpa) in Norway. They looked like little ladies. Aunt Tanya, Uncle Matt and Jonathon also came. Jakes other sister and family could not make it.

So we are working on our Norwegain. Here we are reading a book about "Lillebamse" (littlebear) and his friend "Musegutt" (mouseboy).

We love this book! It is big and has fun pictures!

1st Halloween!

For our first Halloween we dressed up as TWINS. Don't we look nice. We also had some friends that came over. There are pictures of Tyler, Ashley and their mom......

Jonathons suprice birthday party!
