They are here!

We started this blog because I was pregnant with twins. Needed to keep friends and family from all over the world informed on what was going on.

So Friday March 30th was the day. For me it was a long day. And at 9.35 pm (21.35) Elizabeth Jean was born. She is the smaller of the two. She weighed
4 lbs and 11 oz (2126 g), and was 18 ½ inches long (47 cm).

Anna Cecilie was born 40 minutes later at 10:16 pm, weighed 5 lbs 6 oz (2455 g), and was 20 inches long (51 cm).

Both the girls are named after family members. The fun thing is that the name Elizabeth/Elisabeth and Anna is in both mine and Jakes family. Cecilie is my great grand mother (Elisabeth Cecilie) and Jean is Jakes grandmother.

But before I show you some pictures, I have to share some good news with you. One of my best frieds is going to be a father to twins. So I will not be the only one that will get doble up of blessings and love...

Here are the girls:

Anna Cecilie - 2 days old
Elizabeth Jean - 2 days old
Anna Cecilie - 15 days old
Elizabeth Jean - 15 days old
Mommy with the twin girls - 1 day old

They are so absolutely adorable! I cannot wait to see them in person. (Gosh I hope they are not teenagers by then!)

I have a box for the girls that we had hoped to drop off Easter day to your house on our way through but we ended up getting a very late start heading home from my mom's in Mears and just ended up taking my grandmother back home and then hightailing it back to Lansing to rescue our dogs from the kennels they had been in all day. I will probably be mailing it...although I do need your mailing address.
